We have been engaged in the mentoring and training of young photographers. Keep watching this page for new mentorship calls.

The upholding of ethical principles and social responsibility with photography creates a high benchmark for the participants of our programmes as does the upkeep of quality standards relevant to the usage of the medium to comment on society and for the purpose of self - expression.

MOP5 PHOTOGRAPHY FESTIVAL

The 2012 Festival will take place from 27th September - 31 October in the inner and outer city of Cape Town.

Over 100 bodies of work celebrating photography as a medium of aesthetic, social, political and philosophical value, are to be showcased in Cape Town, in galleries, museums, upmarket venues and online in virtual galleries and archives.

The call is out for submissions for MOP5 and the energy is mounting.

CENTRE for Photography ARCHIVE

This section of our website showcases the depth of the South African Photography's activities from the its initial establishment in 1999 under the directorship of Geoff Grundlingh, founder member, until 2008.

View the archive and see the past projects, MOP festivals and education programs. The new renovated site will grow as we go along but the Centre's history is worthwhile and interesting to peruse.
